The rumor is 2013 or 2014.

Trawnza is right you can use the PS Eye (and the PS2 Eye toy before that) without controllers, but few applications used that ability because the tracking wasn't the best. The PS Move makes tracking a lot better because the camera can track a ball of light much easier than trying to interpret human movement...

I kind of like the controller, feels more real to actually hold something (that would then represent what you are holding in game), instead of just pretending to hold something like the kinect .

Tried the Kinect and was pretty unresponsive multiple times. I would never invest that much money for a peripheral.

Honestly, I prefer PS Move over Kinect.

With Kinect, The whole "You are the controller" is not as fun as it seems.

Not to mention that most of the games that support the Kinect are "party games"; those games you play when you have a bunch of friends who are bored or you are babysitting your cousins.

PS Move basically combines the Wii with Kinect and just feels much better.

Having said that, I don't think that Motion Controls will live that long.

They just feel like a gimmick at the moment.

Politicians are like Slinkies...They are really good for nothing but you can't help but smile when you push one down a flight of stairs.
