No, the Vita doesn't have any built in memory for storage, a PS Vita memory card will be required purchase for many games that don't have built in storage, or for any PSN downloads...

Pretty pricy to me, even though I can afford it, I'm not a fool.

i would think it has built in memory or on board memory on the game like the ds has because their no umd's any more...

their actually memory cards

and the system should have built in memory too or at least sold with a card

Some games do have room for save data and such, but most of the big games (like Uncharted) won't work unless you have a memory card.

And by not work, I mean the game won't even start. It will tell you that you need a memory card.

do we get a memory card bundled in with Vita (both versions) or do we have to (unfortunately) buy one separately?

You only get a memory card if you get that bundle pack thing (and it only comes with a 4GB card, which is about 1, maybe two games). The standard Vita (both Wifi and 3G) do not come with any.

Seems a bit steep. If you're someone who wants to go all digital, you're looking at $370-$420 just for the system and memory (And that's no games or accessories). And since the games can be fairly large, you can fit what, 4-8 games? Especially since 32GB would actually only have 29-30 GB available for actual storage.

If I do get one, I'm just buying the physical games and some 8GB card for save data. And just gonna hope that's enough.

@glaciusx25  for saves you will be more then fine. for games if they were to go download only I can see people needing alot of 32 gig sticks. since some games like uncharted golden abyss is 4 gig. also some games later on will be bigger then that.

one thing that is alittle off to me with sony it almost seems like they do not want you to go download only. I say that because the max size of the memory stick you can get is not  long enough to last with the life span of the ps vita or last long at all. Im guessing from what sony has said is that the gaming industry is not ready for download only or something to that effect. so it is very likey sony wants you to do some downloading but mostly buy physical media.
