is it okay to unplug ps3?

5 replies 143 views Edited May 23, 2013

Whenever the super slim is not in use I unplug it and keep it on my printer :I

Will it do anything to my ps3 or the games?

It wasn't even 2 weeks and I had problems with playing games from the disc, I did a full format and everything is back to normal.

I cannot afford to perform a full format from time to time ;c

You should be fine if you unplug it, as long as the system is off (in standby mode) before you unplug the power cord.

This was going to be my reply. I just want to add it may even be better to unplug it. You don't have to worry about surges. Especially during thunderstorms. Smiley Wink

It would have been my reply too, but you took that reply also Smiley Tongue.  The only problem with unplugging it is doing it while it's actually running.  Other than that, like ne1 says, it's probably better to keep it unplugged.  You would also save a little money on power.

I've had lockups so bad on a game called infamous2, power button wouldn't work. Scared to play it.
If anyone needs help, with something they are going thru? Im here to talk, I suffered severe SAD, severe Anxiety and severe Depression, luekemia, blood clots, foot ulcers from bad circulation, insomnia, amongst alot of other things. I thought I was gay, murderer, childmolester, transgender even thought I was the bad guy himself. Not judging any but knew I wasnt any them before and dont want to be. Just let me know, some i believe are severly wrong and will get you threw in jail as should, if you act on them. Im getting better. This wasnt sweet lies, like hey that hot woman likes you. Like they used to be. These was bad lies considering I wasnt none them before and dont want to be.
