iPhone friend notification

6 replies 161 views Edited Jun 6, 2013
So I used to have an android phone and used the ps3 trophy pro app. It let me pick friends and would notify me when they logged in to their ps3. Anything like that for the iPhone?

There is nothing Official from PlayStation on the iOS store. If you download one of those 3rd party apps, it's your fault if they steal your login info since it's not the real Company (SCE).

Why would you want your phone to tell you when a friend logged on?

Cognitive Dissonance - The ability to understand multiple viewpoints even if they conflict with one another - and still use critical thinking, logical thought, and common sense to come to the realization that only ONE is the correct one and the others are wrong.

Well, I would like to be notified when they log in so that if I'm just chilling and they jump on, I can too. Plenty of people use the app on android for the ps3, and Xbox live. I don't like playing solo, as I always get thrown in with some noobs. I would rather play with a friend, but having to login to the ps3 to see if someone is playing takes more time than being notified automatically.

you can also check who's online without the need for an app.....

us.playstation.com > Community (at the top of the page) > Friends > List by Online Friends.

you can do it with your smartphones browser, bookmark it, and click refresh.

no need to beg for an app

I gave the long answer. In short, no.

And a better, easier solution.
