What's the referal thing you're talking about? The one where you refer someone and get $20 for for the PSN, and they do too?

I've never received one of  those, man.

Hell, after registering my Vita last year I should get one every so often I would think .:smileywink:

Silly Sony,no customer service like that being offered.Sorry,as a consumer i"m stupid to expect such a thing! LOL :smileyfrustrated:

Sony Customer Service, are you listening?Sounds like a great follow up idea for Vita owners or PS3 and etc. :smileywink:

you have to set your account to receive promotions from sony computer entertainment america

Ah.

Wait,I did that, didnt I?YES,I did do that. :smileywink:

then you will most likely get it soon.

Hmmm, don't you think 8 months later is a bit past "soon".

I do get emails from PSN/SEN about new games and such.

They do ask if it was helpful and all.I respond at times. Then get a survey that pops up.

Is this the Vita survey folks are referring to?

I've never received a "My experience with my PSVITA" survey at all.Would be nice though.... :smileywink:

Well just to clarify as some think this offer is a desperate attempt or bad idea by Sony, this offer was created by Amplifinity a marketing company that is partnered with Sony. As I said in another thread they make offers like this for tons of other people.

This is actually a really awesome promotion, especially since I am hearing tons of people say it works even without having bought a brand new Vita, it works with ones recently bought as well before the promotion. Luckily for me mine wasn't bought that long ago, so yay.. So I am pretty excited to get your referral (Don't forget me :smileysad:).. I want to get you the $20 PSN also since you were the first person kind enough to offer me one.

So I'll wait patiently for your PM.

I just happened to have someone else randomly send me one on another site which I have not used yet. I just dug around just cause everyone was blaming Sony but I found it odd on every official Sony site or even their blog this isn't listed, now I know why because it wasn't made by them technically they are only partners.

It's little upsetting though so many people are making such a big deal over nothing around the net when first of all it wasn't even made by Sony to begin with which was super easy to figure out by the way just from the referral. So it's mind boggling people are calling Sony out on this, when it obvious most those who are haven't even used or checked the referral.. I have no clue why anyone doesn't like this promotion anyway.

I am going to get Let's Fish! Hooked On, comes out on the 29th I think and $20 is enough for it. So this could not have happened at a better time for me as I planned on buying it anyway.

I'm glad to help you out dude! I sent you the PM right now, but I'm afraid you might have to wait awhile for that psn card once you registered the Vita, around 4 to 6 weeks, hopefully it won't take too long for the both of us

Re: has anyone done the PSVITA referral thing?

Guys, do I need the VITA in my hands to do this? My units are currently on the way to Sony's service center (U.S.)..

I'm kinda confused on how to do this :smileysad:

I'd appreciate someone holding my hands xD

you just need the seriel number of the Vita and your PSN ID, if you still have the box you can find it on there

I have a question, not sure if this would work though.

My friend and I both have a vita that we got for xmas. Are we both able to refer each other and get 40$ each?

----Edit----

Just tried it with my buddy. We cant even get it to work the first time. It says his Serial Number is invalid. Not sure why.

---Edit 2----

And now I've already received my first spam email from some 3rd party company. Haha that was quick. Now I will get all this junk email and no 20$ psn. Typical.

The weird thing is the box does not have the same serial number exactly, the two first letters on my box start differently there are also 11 digits on the boxes serial number. The middle numbers should be the same as the Vita's with an added zero but the last number in the serial on the box which is a number not added on the Vita last serial line, is differen't.

Or at least my box, I know I bought mine new so.. not sure if it will work. I just checked mine for the hell of it and noticed it was similar but not exactly the same.

Can try I suppose.

Example Vita: XX0165894

                 Box: ZZ001658942

What you could try is use the same serial number on the box but remove the last number or if that doesn't work remove the first zero and see if that works for you. :smileyhappy:

Keep in mind the letters are still going to be differen't from the Vita's I think unless it's just my box but it could work.
