I had the same problem, able to cruise the internet, but no PSN and getting the error code(8002AA08) during the last 24 hours. I had updated about 3-4 days prior so I don't think the update had anything to do with mine. I tried the suggestions on the forums, delete cookies and cache in the internet browser, and turn off the media servers. The thing that finally worked for me was turning off my PS3 and pulling out the AC cord (leaving out for a minute), then plugging it back in and starting up. I've had to repeat this once since getting back on the PSN, but I'm back up and running. Pretty easy solution, hope this helps.
I've had had all of the connection problems with the ps3.
i've had the 8002AA08, this particular problem ocurred to me when i was connected to PSN, and my brother went online on his laptop. We share the same wireless connection, so i assume that the problem has something to do between the ps3 and other laptops connecting to the same router. So got disconnected, i could still browse the net, and keep downloading my current downloads.
I also get a lot the "DNS problem 80710102". Some days i have it, some days i dont, im not sure what causes it but its certainly not the configuration of either the ps3 or my router (i use a Trendnet), because somedays i can connect normally. Sometimes i test the connection and everything is fine, then i try to either browse or log in PSN and i cant. I test the connection again and the "Internet connection test" fails after obtaining the IP sucesfully. Sometimes i can connect to PSN, browse, play online and do everything, and when i test the connection i fails...
One day i reset my router and i could connect to everything, some other day when i was having the typucal DNS problem i couldnt solve it that way.
I dont want to point fingers about this problem, but i mainly blame sony for not fixing this kind of connection problem most people have.
