error.. You have been signed out of PLAYSTATION Network (8002AA08)

128 replies 2841 views Edited Sep 4, 2007
This is what I get when I try to log into PSN:

"An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PLAYSTATION Network (8002AA08)"

I have been getting this ever since I downloaded the new update last night. The internet browser on my PS3 works fine, so obviously the connection isn't the problem. Is anyone else having this problem? Should I wait it out and see what happens or should I contact Sony?

If you recall what your internet connection settings were, see if any have changed.  Things like UPnP enabled or not, etc.(Assuming you have a router).  You might consider going thru the wired or wireless setup again or run the internet connection test and see what it says after the test.  It often points to details about the error.

I've been getting the same thing since the update.  No clue how to fix it.  Tried to call customer support and the automated voice said they couldn't take my call right now and to try back later.  That's crap.  I'm going to try to get live support at 11 PDT.

so I just created a new user and everything works just fine.  Not sure what it was all about, but I just copied all of my user data over to the new one and I can access everything ok now.  Hmm......

New user?

I take it you haven't paid for any downloadable games on the old user else I imagine you are about to get very angry indeed.

no I downloaded Warhawk on the old user.  I was told I had to use the original user that I downloaded it on, so I did, but I'm still getting that 8002AA08 error.

Same problem for me although I didn't create a new user since I downloaded Warhawk and knew that the DRM would lock me out.
