delays when using group messaging

2 replies 12 views Edited Apr 8, 2012

ever since i got my vita ive used the group messaging app to talk to my friends,  but ive noticed that the time it takes for a message to get to me is a very long time usually anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. a few times its only taken 2 or 3 minutes. these inconsistensies have caused me to miss far too many party invites from friends and im getting tired of it.

could it be my connection or a problem with sonys services? idk

has anyone else experienced this?

15 minutes is the earliest the app updates. So you're getting your msgs 15 minutes late from the time they were sent. It's just how the system is, wonder why it is not as fast as when you send a msg to the PS3, which is almost immediately received by the PS3.

It does take a long time, but it is able to be firmwared since when people come online it shows on both the vita and ps3 at the same time. Messages take a longer time to come in for some reason, if you do not keep updating, I noticed that if you get a party message I usually get it right then and there.
