i dont know why im posting this comment on here because nobody ever replies! nobody official anyway! im just wondering if sony actually programmes their consoles to break after a specific point but ive bought 7 playstation 3's already, each and every time they have failed!  BIG TIME! im disappointed that sony would take my hard earned cash for these cheaply made poorly designed pieces of trash! ive been a customer since playstation 1 and have wasted god knows how much CASH  SONY have robbed me out of ! SHAME on you SONY.    never again will i buy a SONY product! also i hope the ps4 gets hacked as soon as its released !!!!!!!!! goodbye amateurs of technology

I bought a 60 gig launch PS3 that died on me after 2 years.  However, i would run FOLDING @ HOME every night all night and all day while at work and that program really tasks the processors.  Bought a slim after and haven't had any problems yet.

However many people have had their systems break.   I dunno.
