YLOD: How To Eject Your Stuck Disc

53 replies 27506 views Edited Jul 26, 2009

It seems many people on this forum don't know how to get their stuck disc out of their system after getting the YLOD problem so I thought I'd post how to get it out.*

It's quite simple really.

1. First shut down the system by flipping the power switch in the back off.

2. Hold down the eject disc button.

3. While still holding down the eject button, flip the power switch to turn back on your PS3.

4. When the green light comes on, wait a few seconds then tap the eject button a couple times. The fan will run on full power and the disc will eject.

*Not guaranteed to work on all models.

Same her, Sony claims there was no game in the console I sent them because supposedly no one took notes on there being a game stuck inside.....

Yep this happened to a friend of mine awhile back. He lost his COD:WAW game and they claimed it wasn't there. If this ever happens, you call customer service and you plead your case, the manager will offer to send you a free replacement if you go high enough up the chain of command.
