I have been looking for a wireless xbox 360 controller to use on my ps3 and the xcm cross battle adapter thing is really expensive! I hate wired controllers, so wireless is my only option. The 3rd party controllers suck, i got one for $60 and it looks like an xbox controller but the buttons are stuffed up and dont feel like a real xbox controller, is there a cheaper way to use a wireless REAL xbox 360 controller on ps3 and if there is, could you post the link

A google search pretty much comes up empty for wireless controllers that are both compatible with the PS3 and have either an xbox layout, or a customizable layout.
As for wired controllers, I've seen this one at local stores for around $60:
Potato is right.... there is NO OTHER WAY except using the XCM adapter.
The cost of any product is based on the perspective of the potential... buyer..... If you dont have money, of course its going to be expensive.
If you have money, then it will be a drop in the bucket.
If you save your money, it will be a drop in the bucket AND you'll get the satisfaction of knowing that saving up will help you get what you want.
You will have to get the XCM cross battle adapter. Then if you want to use the wireless controller you will need to get the pc adapter that lets you use the wireless controller on PC. You just plug the adapter into the XCM then you can use a wireless Xbox controller.
Heres the adapter http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2
You can also buy controllers that are set up like an Xbox controller. The only problem with these is they aren't good for shooters because all the reviews say they have deadspot in the thumbsticks.
This might be the close but its not wireless.
This is what I use
