There are too many people on here accusing people of hacking there PSP if it is bricked. It seems there are many instances of it being bricked for other reasons so its irresponsible to jump to that conclusion.
I put a game in my PSP and it said updating software for over a day. No buttons would work. I tried to reboot and now its bricked. Sony says not under warrenty and they want $69 to fix. I wont buy Sony products going forward if that their response to a well known issue with their product that many many people have. There are lots of other gaming systems out there to choose from if thats their response on a well known issue. They should have a disc or online software to reboot/reload these devices. I bought this thing and I expect the software to work without paying more in a couple years. Seems like they are just trying to make more money.
