Re: Why You Should NOT Game Share

Anytime, Endershadow528. If that guy is still on your friends list, it's best to delete him and put him under your block list because game sharing is against the Terms of Service. Just use your judgment if someone like him decides to ask you that next time.

Everyone has their prerogative not to game share and give away their accounts to some stranger they met 3000 miles away online.

I certainly think gamesharing is not bad, Sony gives you two licenses for each purchase you make. So you have the right to download that content wherever you want to. Besides Sony supports this anyways, well at least Jack Tretton does.

What if THEY put their account on you'r playstation, download games, then delete their account or disable it? will the game still play? or will PSN be shut down?

It will not work anymore.

You shouldn't be gamesharing, anyway.

So you would freely give your account information to a complete stranger so they can download your games, and you wouldn't be upset if they then changed your account email and password and bought a few other games to play on your credit card?  And then they took it a step further and logged on to the SEN website and deactivated your PS3 so they could share your account with another complete stranger?

I have gameshared in the past with 4 ppl with no problems and they have gameshared with me, so its mutual. Also who links their cc to their SEN account??? I buy PS cards at Target or Walmart instead. I quickly change my password after they where done downloading my stuff, so they can't access my account anymore. Right now I'm not gamesharing, but I would gladly do it again if I was presented with the right content. :smileyhappy:

Why do I (and others) sound like a tool when we only say that? It's just logical.

How many dollars have you spent on games, DLC and others on your PSN account? Isn't that investment worth protecting?

I think that game-sharing is OK only if its on consoles in the same house or with a couple of close friends.

Keep in mind I had a 60gb die on me two yrs ago so when I got a new slim I redownloaded all my games.
