It's going to be the biggest GTA game to date, the biggest, hugest, most open, active world in any game.
It was pushed back for the sole reason R* said it was pushed back....to be polished.
They may also wanted to add a bunch of extra things people were asking for.

Grand Theft Auto V is set to be a massive game after all. With as wide a world and with ambitious a game as this is going to be, imaginably there's going to be issues arising that will need correcting along the way to the game's completion. If the online portion is where the game's noticeably lagging in some manner, it's not as if Rockstar's not going to want to fix that and make things right as rain when the game's finally out there. Who knows, maybe more time is needed to add in more subplots to the storyline.

polish my butt the game looks awesome i say the multiplayer needed work and ya bugs and stuff all i can say is a hope its servers and not player host games for online if its servers chances are it will work and if online works i have no issue forking $60 for the game and $30-$50 for season pass for dlc
Dude no, don't even spew out incorrect information to the public. Never once did rockstar talk about multiplayer so don't even go there for something no one knows about. Also no one knows for sure about a "season pass for dlc" so don't mention things like that as other might believe you and be turned off on the idea of possibly having to pay more for more content.
When rockstar shown the demo to the writers it was reported (DEMO WAS PLAYED ON THE PS3) that the game had massive fps drops. Also this time around rockstar has been making V seperately to 360 and PS3 so neither console gets a bad port as usual. This being said and rockstar using the PS3 as a demo to the writers would only assume the 360 is probably having more issues then the PS3. Also the fact they wouldn't reply when the question was asked how many cds for the 360, they are probably working out that issue to make the game playable without interference of the multiple cds. thread is getting to complicated.

Maybe they delayed it because they are going to release when the new console comes out...
The funny thing is they always make an epic game like this for the last on the console they are on..
I would continue with the epicness from the following console's end..
But that is just me, that is how you bring in more people and money..
4 was way of trck of san andreas and san andreas was the last gta game on ps2..
Now 5 is the last on the ps3 and it is going to be epic...
Notice a pattern here anyone?
