katori15 just a word of advice.. Whichever you decide to go with; make sure it has its own power supply. Reason is that the ones that dont, you will notice some degrading in picture fidelity...

Monoprice will be the first to tell you loss of fidelity is a falehood its digital it works or it dont!  no need to overspend on cables $6.50 24AGW is all you need for most home use.

My only advice would be to make sure you get one with auto-switching, purely for ease of use.

Edited for Katori Smiley Wink

I've been using this Octava switcher for many years now:

That octava switch is the biggest waste of money. May as well have had the monster logo instead

What an uneducated comment.

At the time it was one of the only powered HDMI switches with both automatic and remote switching. It wasn't even that expensive.

I use one from Best Buy RocketFish line they make. It's a  HDMI 3D switcher, not automatic, but it has a little remote and a button on the actual switcher. Suits my purposes (on my desk), though an automatic would be better if I were to use this in the livingroom.

Another overpriced hunk of plastic probably to claim superior video quality for digital input....

Key words Digital

meaning it's not like Analog inputs where quality of cables and switches and what-not matters. Digital is purely 1s and 0s put through a special processing chip on your display itself that converts those 1s and 0s to a video image. The thing that matters most is on the TV you use.

It's not like audio where equipment does matter.
