they do not share trophy info and friends list, and they have their own ID.

So, what is the point of having a sub account if they are like seperate ones?

A sub account is more for people with kids, It allows the parent to control certain things, as to what their child can do. Also Sub accounts are limited, you can do more things with a Master Account.
