Cheap price, get a decent HDD for it at a later time. Don't assume that every single bundle released is an optimal bundle with which you'll be set for life. Also, for the love of Internet Gods don't make threads with no content in your post. That's got to be one of the rudest things online, the whole making a thread / mailing somebody with nothing on the content and the actual content being a one liner on the subject~.
The only useful things you can do with a 12GB Super Silm PS3 is that you can put in Blu-ray discs to watch films and buy games that has 1GB worth of HDD space.

A console with less memory than a cell-phone?
Did I miss something?
They were originally available in the UK only. Everyone complains about the UK having better things than us so they made it available here.
It's 12 GB of flash storage, which results in faster boot time, as well as faster lauching of system apps. If I were going to purchase a super slim (I won't, because I don't like the look), I would purchase the 12 GB for the performance increase, and install a hard drive. Shortly before the Xbox One announcement, I was considering purchasing an Xbox 360, and I would have purchase the 4 GB flash version for the same reason. With a stock drive of less than 500 GB, I'm going to be purchasing an additional hard drive, anyway, so I may as well: 1) Save money, 2) take advantage of the slight performance boost, and 3) not have to deal with a spare 5400 RPM HDD no one wants.
