I want to make some YouTube videos to put of the Vita on my blog, but I saw some people cover up their serial number on some other videos because they did not want anyone to see it. I am wondering if I should cover up my serial number while making a video. What could someone do if they know your serial number?
I heard some people talking about how people can steal your warranty but I do not know how reliable that is.
I already have a video made and edited but I am scared to put it on YouTube because of what might happen. I might do the video over with the serial number covered just in case.
I doubt anyone can steal a warranty.
Since if they were to send in their system, they'd see the serial number on the Vita that was sent in, not the one they called in for.
I'm fairly sure that a serial number can't do a single thing.
The only systems that may want to cover serial numbers on is Nintendo systems (because if you register a system on Club Nintendo using the serial number, you get 90 days extra on the warranty)
