I bought MLB the show 12 for the PS Vita, and so far I am disappointed, and unsatisfied so far. Let me explain.
When I get on the online section of the game, I join one of the two rookie rooms since I have yet to play online. I have wasted many hours sending invites, setting up games, mtalking to friends, telling them I invited. Them, nothing, the online on this game is completely unacceptable! If the game took track of lobby stats, mine would read like this:
Hours/minutes waited: 5:03 invites sent: 97 invites supposedly received: 65 invites actually received: 0 games played while waiting 5+hours in lobby: ZERO.
Any help would be awesome, before this game becomes my first and last time i ever by any sports game from Sony.
So just so we're all clear on this...
One game is making you want to throw your PS Vita out a window? Have you tried, perhaps, another game? Maybe listen to some music, or watch a video?
I can understand your frustration, but it sounds like the problem is more to do with the design of the game than the design of the vita.
You should send an email to the support department of the game publisher/developer, or better still see if you can find a phone number. Let them know you're frustrated! Also, maybe post some reviews on prominent sites to vent your frustration and make sure that it doesn't go un-noticed by the publishers.
Other than that, there's probably not much you can do.
I think I'll make a ten minute video and put it on YouTube so everyone can see how crappy the online matchmaking on this game is. Compared to other Vita games I have, online matchmaking is as follows:
Ridge Racer: less than 4 minutes to join a race
Wipeout 2048: less than 3 minutes to join a race
Unit 13: less than one minute to join a game
MLB The Show 12: <#*%$@! SIX Hours spent in lobbies and I have yet to play a online game!
I would just like everyone to know, that MLB The Show, is not meant for online gaming.
Should be called TLB (the lobby) too Slow (Show).
"Just to be clear"?? Really dude?
How bout he just forked out 300 plus for the Vita, and another 40 for MLB12, and it's not WORKING properly?? Yeah, I'd throw it out the window too. He's spent 5 hours of his life on nothing. It's frustrating as heck I'm sure. And you have the audacity to ask to ask him to try another game?? LOL!!!!
I get the feeling just from perusing this site, alot of people are very disappointed with their Vita right now....
