Want to go all digital but...

13 replies 179 views Edited Nov 2, 2012

Does anyone else enjoy having a digital collection of games but cannot pass up great deals and sales which leads them to buy physical copies anyway. Target is having a buy 2 get one free sale until 11/3 and i am going to pick the big 3 vita games that just released. Yes am going to save money but I will sacrifice convenience.

The only thing keeping me from going all digital is the fact I only have an 8GB card, and it's already at 5GB used with games that are only available via digital.  The bundle with AC3, AC3:L and all future DLC for both for $120 was tempting, but that would have required the purchase of another memory card.  So much for the $20+ in savings with that bundle...  lol

I only have 1 digital game (ragnarok odyssey) I like having a physical copy so I can share with friends or trade in if I don't like the game.

I like buying physical for 3 main reasons.

1. The deals you can get - as you mentioned, you can get some buy 2 get 1 deals.

2. Sharing copies with friends - some of my friends are never sure if a game is right for them, so I tend to be the go to guy for an extended demo.

3. Collectors Editions - This is my weakness. That Ragnarok Odyssey Mecenary Edition is amazing. I've flipped through the book probably 50 times by now and just recieved my Assassin's Creed III Collectors Edition and this statue is AMAZING!!!!!!!

My Playstation Collection consists of:
152 PS3 games - 564 PS2 games - 72 PS1 games - 202 PSP games - 11 PS Vita games

Over 1,100 games total Smiley Happy

The only thing good about digital is convenience. Nothing else. Physical games save you memory, time, and can be traded in or sold. Also, it's easier to find good deals on physical games.

Only buy digital if it is exclusive or part of cross buy.
