Want to fix my old PS3

3 replies 124 views Edited Nov 25, 2013
I have the 60gb launch PS3 but, it has got the redlights. I sent it into Sony for the refurb and the refurb broke down after about a year and Sony will not offer a free repair. That being said I'm looking into different websites to repair. I ran into www.gophermods.com and was wondering if it was a good site. They said the fix would not be permenant and would last around 24 months at most. Is it worth the investment? The repair would be $80. I also want an upgrade to the HDD while there at it.

I know I could just get a new 500gb PS3 or something but, i was wondering whether the repair of this old PS3 is worth it and if should I use the site I listed or is there a better one?

All help is appreciated

I hear Endless electronics is better then Gopher mods. Might want to find out if there's a local place too... There's a console repair shop that's really good like 20 blocks from me in Miami.....
