WARNING: DON'T FALL FOR THE KB TOYS BUY 1, GET 1 FREE DEAL....

8 replies 47 views Edited Jul 23, 2001
It sucks. Here's why:
1) it's only for 19.99 games.
2) they raise the price of almost everything so that there are no good $20 games (I went there to get dave mirra and it was 24.99, $5 more than the list price on any site. And I didn't get a free game. I was should've though since that games' sopposed to be $20. I also bought medal of honor there(my mom had $50 credit there,so I had to use it) and that was $25 too. Now I heard that dave mirra's sopposed to be $25 and I saw it for $20, but i'm 1000% sure that Medal Of Honor is sopposed to be $20, so what the hell are they tryin to pull)?

----------------------BOTTOM LINE---------------------------
So what's basiclly happining and what there basiclly saying is " Buy anygame for $20 and get one for free. but of course, we'll raise the price of everything so that nothing remotely good is $20". Boy, what a bunch of A-holes, huh?

KB! YOU SUCK, YA CHEAP MORONS!

I noticed that to. After the FF7 game nothing else there really interested me but still, 19.99 for 2 games, regardless of their game play value, isn't that bad.

Have any of you gus tried either Babbages and Best Buy for $20 and under games?

Jul 23, 2001
I found Fear Effect brand new at Best Buy for $9.99, Resident Evil 2 and 3 for $19.99, Tomb Raider for $9.99, Gran Turismo 1 and 2 for $16.99, Metal Gear Solid for $16.99, Metal Gear VR misssions for $14.99, Final Fantasy VII for $12.99, Final Fantasy VIII for $19.99, Parasite Eve for $12.99, Parasite Eve 2 for $19.99, Tony Hawk 1 for $19.99, D for $12.99, Battle Arena Toshinden 1 for $4.99, Battle Arena Toshinden 2 for $9.99, Rage Racer for $5.99 and Breath of Fire 3 for $12.99. With the exeption of Battle Arena Toshinden 1 and 2, Rage Racer, Breath of Fire and D, every other game is brand new. Also, I've had good luck in finding very good games at a local pawn shop for a measly $4.99, even though used but can't beat that price especially when you can find gems like Street Fighter Collection 1 and 2 for that price along with Galerians and JoJo's adventure.

I forgot to mention one other place for cheap games.....

Jul 24, 2001
Also try Circuit City. I've found very good deals with games there. From Legacy of Kaine: Soul Reaver for $9.99 for DC and $4.99 for PSX to even finding a copy of Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style for $9.99 also. Another good thing about these three places is that sometimes they also offer a good deal when purchasing select items. Example, I got Final Fantasy VIII and for $10 more I got the strategy along with a "replica" of the original pendant sold in Japan only of Squall's Lionheart. It was not official but it is a nice collectors item. When and if you all happen to buy any used games and they seem a bit scratched, if the store in question has a system for you to try the disk, ask the store employee for a demonstration. Even if you do go home and later find out it is a scratched copy that won't load up right, try investing in a Game Doctor for $29.99. Restores a CD and even though it does not erase the scratches, what it does it blends them in to allow the CD lens to then read the info correctly. I bought 15 "badly scratched" copies of different games and I restored them withouit a hitch using the Game Doctor. It is also called the DVD Doctor or the CD Doctor. Give it a try.
