MGS4 patched had an optional full game install. I want this on all games, one mandatory install and an optional full game install.

For me, I'd love to see this option, HDD's are much faster compared to CD-ROMs or Blu-Ray ROMs and what have you. It would benefit most by running the game more smoother and FPS wont suffer.
Coming from a PC gamer where majority of my games are ran from my HDD, I feel consoles should be no exception. These days we have memory and SSDD drives which in turn make things even more faster. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a PS console with SSDD support if not already.
So I feel that having this option would benefit those that want that option and have large HDDs. However to protect their investment, at least allow (us) to make one copy of titles.

Yes this too, only thing is, I think were getting screwed over buy the digital copy for the same price as if were buying it from the store. Reason being, you don't get the physical disc, no manuals or extras.
To me you get less for the same price which I think is unfair and think the developers need to rething this.
The digital copy can't undercut the retail copies by much, otherwise there wouldn't be any point of the retail version. If these games were just relased digitally, then they probably would be a lot cheaper. Publishers can't afford to sabatoge their retail partners.
Increasingly, the only difference between the retail and digital versions is the physical media and the packaging. Manuals are becoming the way of the Dodo bird, especially since they can start putting digital ones on the physical media...

I see your point, and you made a vey good point at that, and with what you said digital games shouldn't be the same price, it's another way to milk us all. knocking 10.00 off or more I am sure isn't going to hurt them.
