Vita on sale for $199.99

Fry's is once again selling the Vita for $199.99 until Oct. 4. If you don't have a Fry's store nearby, you can still order one from Frys.com.

I think we are going to see retailers have more sales like this on the standalone version for the holidays because, I doubt anyone is going to buy them once the Vita bundles come out...

3G model isn't too special. I kinda hope it is in the future though.

I expect Sony to retire the 3G Vita next year, since I don't believe it appeals to very many people and has little software support...

i just want the 3g cuz im gone a lot and if i need to make a call from skype i have to find a wifi connection or if im waiting in the car well my wife goes in the store, i would like to check the forums or twitter and i cant. im going to get a 3G model soon.

Your situation would be suitable for the 3G model, however IMO for many that would be redundent from what their smartphone can offer. Since the 3G aspect really won't be supported for gaming, I don't see that this model is going to be very popular in the long term...

i enjoy my 3g when i have it on... i only activate it on for long trips now.... its fun going city to city and using near to see whats around

Instead of getting a 3G version and paying a separate data plan, I would rather just use my smartphone as a wifi hotspot...
