There is no way I am opening up the Vita myself. I'm not voiding the warranty or risking doing any harm to it. The shouldn't even give people the instructions to do this really. I think it's foolish of Sony to do that.

Sony have not let any information about changing batteries out to the general public, they would have released information to licensed service proffesssionals (If they have leaked information then Sony needs to sort it out with them). But you know someone with more money than sense will take one appart and post the "How to: video on Youtube.
