Currently Square Enix is selling FF7 for PC for the same price as the PSN. I know many people got hte Vita for games like this one. I myself got it for that very reason.

The new games are all bark and no bite. I know thats my opinion so I know many will disagree.

As it stands now Im considering selling the Vita cause I cant get the old school games i want to play so much and jsut buy them for PC when aplicable.

In 12 days, on August 28th there will be a new firmware released. Version 1.80 that will allow you to play PS 1 games. At that point you should be able to download the Final Fantasy titles.

I don't know why anyone would have bought a Vita to play the PS 1 era games. But to each their own.

I was asking the same, you have a machine that can play PS3 game and you ask for weak old crappy PSOne game that COST 5 to 9 buck where you can just go ahead and find them less than 0.99$ and a working PS1 for 10$ on ebay, save you 300$ if you play that way

Well, you have three options...

The first one being - wait 10 days for 1.8 to be released.

or

Sell your system and spend 50 bucks for a PS1 (or a PSP for that matter) and play on that...

OR 

Play the game on PC.

Dude, why would a PS1 cost 50$, i think it's less than that, people throw it away for free from where i'm living lol

Same around here. If I want another PS1, I'd look out for garage sales where they drop one for $5 with a handful of games. Or look up at craigslist for sidewalk specials.

I think 5$ worth me a happy meal at MCDonald so no thank, I just use PC emulator, but there isn't really anything worth replaying, most of the epic game on the PS1, i have finish all of them

see what you done did? now i want a happy meal! my cousin is selling her ps1 for 30$ with 20 gamss and two controllers. this dude should just stay with the psp and pc.

No offense but your math is horrible. Not including illegal means and assuming you bought titles through legal means...

One - Why would you even buy a PS1 when (assuming you have a Ps3 if you have a Vita) you can just play PS1 titles on your PS3.

Two - Where are you finding PS1 games for a dollar? Any title that is worth owning is generally in the 20 to 30 dollar price range and up if you factor in things like condition and cases / manuals. Try searching for a copy of Digimon World or Final Fantasy 7 on ebay or Amazon. A new copy of FF7 is in the hundred dollar price range.

Three - Buying a Vita for PS1 titles only is kinda silly, especially when you can play them on the PS3 and on a PSP (which if all you wanted was playing PS1 titles portably would have been a much cheaper option) but it's still a feature that is going to be awesome.

Final fantasy 7 for PC has the same graphics as before, just wait for the update and buy it from the PS Store.
