It depends on how popular the game is (ie how well it's selling). For instance the last gears of war game dropped to 40 in just a couple of weeks. So given the popularity of the last of us, I think it will stay near 60 for quit awhile.

Just check regularly on cheapassgamer.com

Between Nov-Jan you can get some great holiday prices on games, even newer ones. Sometimes it's one day only so you have to keep on your toes.

For example Ni no Kuni was $27 including shipping not too long ago.

There's no set time. Games that keep selling at full price will stay there for quite a while. I wouldn't expect a permenant price cut on The Last of Us for at least a few months. Check the Sunday paper for discounts, and be willing to go to Target or another store you wouldn't normally go to for games.

If you can, join the Best Buy Rewards program. The thing is not to just spend money to save, but spend normally, and when the points accumulate, you can get money off your games, or anything else.

I Recommend cheapassgamer as well, that's how I get some of my great game deals, especially since they always get black Friday ads earlier than others, most due to stores not caring about much of gamers just asking. Because of this site, I got Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, and Bioshock Infinite for $30 each a few weeks after they released. Always check on that site regularly...

generally within about 2 months it will probably drop to $40, in 3 to 4 months it will be $30. Torwards the end of the year, it will be $20 or less.

I buy my games used off of either Amazon or Ebay, then when I'm done I sell them. Sometimes I make profit, but often times I sell it for about the same price.

typically and on average, about 3 to 4 months after a games release is when the prices of brand new copies lower by $10 or more, also depends on retailers.
