It isn't better color but mismatched color ranges, properly matched RGB ranges between source and display will look identical in full or limited.

Going to have to try this out when I get home. You do notice the wash out effect especially on Netflix or Hulu...

So what if my monitor has a Game setting and a sRGB setting is there a way I can make my monitor better by changing these settings?

I cant speak for ps4 just yet, but on my ps3 i always had RGB range set to limited, and using calibration patterns, adjusted the TV. It doesn't look as vivid but the colours look more natural and the screen is easy on the eyes.

It will take some getting used to when setup correctly but the result is a greater picture quality.

I kept the setting on "Automatic" and calibrate my TV settings instead to get the best result.

Because when I set it to FULL, I get crushed black and over saturated color. To some people this actually looks better but it's not how the image is suppose to be. I don't like crushed black and over saturated color like that BF4 xbox one footage from Digital Foundry. To me, that looks like s**t and unnatural.

I work with graphics for a living, for better results, leave the PS4 settings at default and properly calibrate your TV instead.

Exactly, Blu-ray's will suffer as there will be no detail in the shadows.

You can't just set your ps4 you have to make sure that your tv is also set to full RGB once both console and TV are both set to full everything will be aligned up and also only turn on darker colors of your TV has a triluminous display

I've always used full, the auto setting makes the image look foggy on any game.
