Using a ntfs ps3 on a pal tv

3 replies 110 views Edited Dec 4, 2012
Brought my US PS3 with me to Indonesia and tried to connect it to the TV here with an HDMI cable but keep getting a message on the TV saying signal is not compatible and a blank screen. Was wondering would it work with the video cables or am I just out of luck. I always was able to connect it in Europe with no problem.

Try a different HDTV. NTSC and PAL differences have been minimized with the digital transition.

It's because US PS3s display at 60hz and PAL TVs display at 50hz. You might be able to get around it by connecting with standard composite cables rather than HDMI.
