Ok, here are some more Sony servers that i have ping tested.  Either they have a firewall or they are just all down.  I would hope they have a firewall, and if so, its about time............

Re: [ The Recent Attacks Against Sony ]

Seems that Sony is contracting with Prolexic which does measures against DDoS. The hackers which are in a IRC channel which I am closely watching, and they are looking for other ways around to figure out how to bypass Prolexic. Looks like Sony will win this battle. We hope,

Oh and I agree with you, seems that I am the only one affected? I live in So Cal. and no one else in my list is being affected. Why? We all pay money for stuff we bought on @home as well, and yet I cannot connect. Everytime I call Sony, I get the run around and a bunch excuses's.

Their is no excuse, Sony need to better secure their network. If we pay money for a service, then we should trust that the company is protecting us against virus's, hacks, and ddos.

Re: [ The Recent Attacks Against Sony ]

lets review my post here, i count 9 different ping tests to sony servers that are not responding either because ( i will give Sony the benefit of the doubt on this one ) they have a firewall, or the servers are down.    Plus the 2 that i made in a previous post. So that makes a total of 11 servers in a period of 7 days or less.   Maybe Sony should go ahead and charge people 5 bucks a month to gain access to their network so that Sony will have money to provide  ACTUAL security.

I can put my kitten in the front yard and teach it to RAWRRRR but i doubt that its going to prevent a theif when they see the actual kitten.
