Hey I just bought a new superslim and Im having the hardest time with keeping the intenet connection running smooth. I used to have a phat and it never gave me as much problems as this one. It goes superslow when tryign to watch hulu or netflix. I dotn understand why when my xbox, which sits right next to it, works flawlessly with these apps, I just prefer the layout better on the ps3. Any suggestions? i have already disabled the media server. Im running wifi, with a linksys dual router.

Where's the router in relation to the console?

Hello,
Try manually setting the DNS to:
Then try again.
Still not working? Manually set the MTU to 1200, then try again. If it does not work, increase the MTU by increments of 50 (1200, 1250, 1300...) then keep trying until it works best OR you reach 1500.
Also, make sure that you forward the ports properly. The PS3 ports may still be assigned to the old PS3, and not the SuperSlim.
Good Luck. :3

Still, something could be causing it to drop out. You might want to invest in a home plug network kit.

is that through the ps3 network settings or my router?
PS3 Settings. Though setting the DNS numbers (not MTU, that's on the PS3 only) on your router may improve performance for everything connected to it.
Also, if you can tell, is your router broadcasting it's signal on Channel 6? If so, set it to transmit as far away from channel 6 as possible. Channel 1 and 11 are best. Every single new router I ever purchased, worked on or interacted with broadcasts on Channel 6. And if your neighbors are broadcasting on the same channel as your router, they could be interfering with your network.
