Streaming to LAN (Multiplayer) PS4

3 replies 205 views Edited Feb 28, 2013

Does anyone know if this is possible

Start game, Set game to stream player 2, disable player two's video on the PS4 TV 1. Player 2 sits in another room in front of TV. TV 2 streams off the LAN, and player one plays versus player two. Since the controller is presumably blue-tooth it should work from another room?

This should allow players to finally play multiplayer FPS or Diablo type games on the same console but on different screens, Players could be in different locations in game without issue, the problem would be graphics power and cpu but I'm sure something could be worked out.

Thoughts?

I know Gaben is keen on the idea of local streaming. I don't see why not. It could also be from multiple devices not just TV

This is also known as adhoc, which the ps3 is capable of doing

Easier to do it on two separate systems that are connected to a local network though
