Streaming Gameplay Online with Mac?

4 replies 99 views Edited Nov 30, 2012

I was curious if someone could give me some tips on how to stream footage online, or at the very least stream footage onto my Mac so I could record some LetsPlays (also curiuos if doing a stream would also capture voices on microphones). I have an HDMI usb thing so I can plug HDMI cables into my Mac from my Ps3. I've looked up some stuff and can't find much on streaming gameplay, it's more geared towards streaming stuff from your Mac to your Ps3 or streaming files from the Ps3 to the Mac.

Thanks for any input.

You need a capture device, as well as software to stream.

And HDMI is HDCP protected on PS3, so you won't be able to use HDMI all PS3 capture devices use component cable feeds...

There are ways to remove that HDCP signal from HDMI, in order to record PS3 gameplay in HDMI. For most people its a bit complicated, slightly expensive and just not practical.

But IF, you want to capture through HDMI... you COULD.
