hello ps3 world!! im so frustrated about my brand new superslim.... i tried to put a 160 gb laptop hdd and nothing happens! ive read that it should bring up a settings menu or smth but no luck. tried to change from flash storage to hard disk and it says that system storage cannot be accesed... any help? please

I can't remember how I changed my hard drive on my slim, but i do remember that it was pretty simple and I had no problems. Try going to U-tube there are lots of video's showing how it's done. You may have done something incorrect. There are also a ton of sites showing how its done like this one:

As far as I know the 12GB PS3 is not available in the USA, the Forums you're asking your question in, you may get better responses from the UK/EU Forums.
