Strange PS3 problem

1 replies 80 views Edited Oct 13, 2012
Alright, so I was just playing Borderlands but wanted to switch games. But when I pressed the PS button, I couldn't move the cursor down the dashboard. No button seemed to work; none of the face buttons or directional buttons. The only button that did anything was the PS button, which took me back to the game.

So I reset the system manually, thinking this was just a random hiccup in the system. I started MLB The Show, and when I went to load my game, the same thing happened. None of the directional or face buttons worked, and the only thing that did anything was the PS button. Then I decided to try going back to the dashboard again, and once again the same problem.

So basically, it seems as though any time a game is running and the system tries to bring up a separate out-of-game window (whether save or dashboard), suddenly every button stops working. But they work fine otherwise, so it's not my controller. Has anyone else experienced this or know what's causing it?
