Stereo Wireless Headset: static - white noise (it's not sidetone!)

6 replies 472 views Edited Jul 24, 2012

Hello guys,

I just purchased the 7.1 headset. Synced it with the PS3, and whether is multiplayer (e.g. Killzone 3) or single player (e.g. God of War 3), I have a persistent white noise - background static going on. It's not the sidetone, as I have already disabled it (gosh, that was even worse!).

The problem persists when using the headset with my Win 7 64 bits.

Mind you, it's not loud noise. Only when I push the volume past the 70% mark it begins to be more noticeable.

I've tried using it with my wireless router off, no difference.

Is this the expected behavior of this headset? Of all wireless headsets? This is my first wireless headset, so I wouldn't know.

Thanks in advance!

Not really when you think about it.... every speaker setup is going to always exhibit some amount of audible noise. some more than others.

Mine dont bother me at all.

Plus if you have the volume up so loud that you can hear it, then its not good for your hearing.

I have noticed this too. I think that to some degree, it;s the microphone. Even when I disable it, I can tap/rub it and hear the feedback in the speakers.
