I don't really think that will be what they're going for. If they were going to give it for free in the future the probably wouldn't discount it. Doing things like that will get people angry and stop them from subscribing (or renewing that is). So maybe but It would be a bad choice any time soon.

I thought of this possibility as well. But i'm willing to take that risk for this title. So much frustration from the community would arise if they ended up giving games out for free that they were discounting. People would then not bother buying games and waiting for them to be free. Super Stardust HD seems like the perfect free game too, so I was surprised by it being a discount one. But the game is simple and quite literally a blast. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun game and wanting to take advantage of their Plus discounts.
