I know the old headset you pressed the power option twice and the light on the mic blinked red number times on how much of a charge? How do you check with the new Pulse headphones?

I dont' have one yet but idk why it'd matter. Use it till it starts beeping then plug it in and play more? lol
When I get mine (since I already have sony's controller charger stand) I'll be using the charge cord that came with the controller/system that now has a 6 foot extension on it to charge while playing. And I'll store it on the top of my tall desk on a stand for headphones (hopefully the rocketfish one at best buy doesn't tip).... with a 10 foot usb charge cord going down behind my desk to a usb wall charger in the outlet.

I check mine by just hitting the quick mute feature (tapping on the side that you hold down to turn it on) and the battery indicator shows up on the TV screen.

If it has a similar feature, it would say in the manual. Otherwise, like PLYMCO_PILGRIM said, you can tap the mute button or adjust the volume and it will show up on screen (at least, the old headset works with adjusting volume).

When I mean checking it , I mean without being connected to a ps3. I like the headset, but I find it a poor design choice if they removed that option. I don't want to wait to be nagged by headset to know when needs charging. Least they should have a seperate Led indicator just for the battery. Other than that its ok. One other need Sony shoud do is offer dedicated PC drivers for the virtual surround sound...

There isn't.
