Re: Sony rebooting an old franchise tonight?

I know everyone is saying Crash Bandicoot, but I have some long-winded feeling that it could be The Last Guardian. Remember that game and how it was "forgotten?" Hearing some news about that would be very surprising and very cool.

Sure, Crash is a possibility, but I don't expect it.

People do what they see other people do. If casual gamers see everyone on the crash bandwagon they'll join along

I doubt it is Crash. That would be a day 1 purchase for me though, as Crash is amazing. No one thought Spyro would get new life either before skylanders, so its not a simple as saying Crash wont work for todays youth. He is a great character design.

I'm excpecting something less earth shattering...like UC4. Still exciting but somewhat expected.

A few people on the forum, for nostalgis is one thing. many games today do not even know what Crash is..It would be another low selling PS exclusive with todays gamer..forums, core gamers represent a tiny portion of gamers.

What about Knack?

Or other games that weren't really heard of, but picked up popularity very fast?

Crash has history behind it, if it is the exclusive and it hits the PS4, you can guess how many people who know what it is are going to buy it, and on top of that, tell their friends, family, co-workers about it who may not have a clue what Crash is, and may cause them to look in to it say the least.

Trust me, most people know what Crash Bandicoot is. If they don't, thats fine. They'll learn soon enough and become addicted to it just like we all were on the PS1.

I have the feeling with sony rebooting and kojima saying big news all adds up to a ff7 remake!!!!

Yeah thanks for bringing that up... Now I am even more anxious to see what it is lol. There are many possibilities that any of the games could be. In the New Sony commercial there shows a Drakes Antique shop so I have a feeling Uncharted will be announced very soon as well. Ugh as if the console itself wasnt a hard enough wait on its own.
