No...not really....we may be the playstation's fans...but sony', as a corporation only need to answer to its investors........

I am saying this with my objective cap on. Subjectively, obviously we want some answers, but objectively speaking, sony doesn't owe its fans any answers. Just saying.

I'm an invester i'm not getting any answers either....

It is fishy as to why high ranking employees are being terminated..

Money seems to be getting funneled to japan for cleanup efforts...

But this isn't confirmed or unconfirmed.....

Sony keeps losing developers: Uncharted 4 director leaves Naughty Dog

[ Edited ]
Mar 27, 2014

Uncharted 4 game director Justin Richmond has just announced that he is leaving his position at Naughty Dog to work for League of Legends developer Riot.

The list of senior game designers opting to leave Sony for something new continues to grow. Sony Santa Monica game designer Seth Killian announced on Twitter that he has left God of War developer Sony Santa Monica to do something new.

His departure from Sony is the latest in a string of high-profile exits from the company, including Driveclub director Col Rodgers, Infamous: Second Son lead designer Jaime Griesemer, God of War series veteran Stig Asmussen and Uncharted writer Amy Hennig

Oh, and I hope this thread doesn't get deleted like the one i made this morning. As much as the mods would like to hide it, developers are leaving Sony first party studios like an epidemic. Posting news doesn't go against the rules of the forum

People come & people go there will always be new talent and Sony will be fine, they still have a lot of amazing talent within the company.

I am bummed about the departure of Amy Henning & Stig, Justin Richmond to an extent but never really viewed him as one of the top dogs since he kinda ruined UC2 in the end but I was excited to see what he and Amy were cooking for UC3 since the technology behind Uncharted 3 was simply amazing.

Anyways I hope Sony will sort out whatever problems are occuring with their studios as I'd hate to see them fall apart after the amazing start the PS4 had.

This happens all the time in the industry.

It's not unheard of for a person to get soem clout and move on to a new studio. Or like Jaffy open their own studio.

these are not low-level employees. People on their cubicules programming all day. It's the equivalent of Messi leaving FC Barcelona.

Of course, bright people like @gR3yGh051 don`t realize that games don't come out of nowhere. Look at what happened to Rare or Infinity Ward when the top developers left the studios, they never made and innovative game again

I am sure some Studios hurting to produce great games is under a lot of pressure and are willing to break the bank and pay these people more money then they would usually make.  I am sure Sony likes to make a decent profit from its studios and not overpay people in a bidding war with other companies.  Some of these people are very good at developing but Sony still has thier fair share of people as well.
