So the 3G PSVita will use the Dataconnect Pass from AT&T.

This will allow you to buy prepaid data usage that will run out after a duration even if you do not use it. It sounds like you can top up when you want or just not use it for a period.

More details on the plan here:

http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB106930&cv=820#fbid=ZkJdU0EfAIi

And the proof is here with the first edition budle:

http://us.playstation.com/psvita/systems/first-edition-bundle.html

I believe these are the prices:

DataConnect Day Pass 100 MB$15
DataConnect Week Pass 300 MB$30
DataConnect Month Pass 1 GB$50

This is different to what has been posted before because the assumption was that they would use the tablet plan, but that is monthly and Sony clearly state you can buy a day, week or monthly pass, and that leaves the Computers, Netbooks, Aircards and others plan.

More expensive than I would have liked.

And this is why the 3g  one is gonna be bad IMO.what is gonna happen if peoople go over the limit,they will be chagred just like the phone bills.I tell you people will. 1Gb is nothing. specially with onlne game play. the charges will just be annoyed by most people .Still don't get all the hype from the 3g one.Wifi IMo wil be just as good.

Well looking again Sony does say you can buy the auto renew plan which is the Tablet plan, so I guess you can choose whichever  one you want.

So the prices for that are:

DataConnect Month Pass 250 MB$14.99/month
DataConnect Month Pass 2 GB$25.00/month

These prices have been quoted before on these forums.

If people reach their limit then that is it, no extra charges or no extra data, according to Sony in the link I gave in the first post:

"Once your time expires or the allotted data is used, whichever comes first, your data access will cease. "

Also you can not play online unless it is turn based, so 1GB will be plenty when most of i will be for browsing, near, and social networking.

Right, as stated the 3G isn't really for online play at all. And with all the locations now supporting wifi i don't think the 3G will be necessary when you're probably sitting in a wifi area when you want to use it.

Just a rip price plan. People thinking that this is great are idiots.

Now this is decent. especially with the no overcharge thing when you use your data up. this is way better than a monthly plan. I like how you can use the service the months that you want to use it.

Day

$ 15

            100MB
Week

$ 30

           300MB
Month

$ 50

       1GB

basicaly what this means is that a month of 3g is $50 but you also have a limetid amount of data.

Yes, you will find it very hard to get an unlimited data usage plan from anyone anymore.

Also for the PSVita there is the renewable plan that is 2G a month for $25.
