I think it doesnt really matter that Microsoft owns Skype. I mean, if Microsoft didnt want Sony to have skype on console then why does the PSP have skype?.
Also, skype is not the only thing comunication goody here.... Sony can always add OOVOO to the playstation, i used both skype and oovoo and oovoo is much better and has clearer audio / voice IMO.
SONY you hear that? give us oovoo!
SKYPE Was an independant comapny when Both PSP and VITA SDK were first released and Apps were ported.
If you want to avoid breach of contracts when taking over a comapny, you continue the contracts as its cheaper than going to court for each and every license agreement that company owns or you shut it down and fold the company and use the assests under a new name...
Now that microsoft owns SKYPE its killing off of its own MSN service. This means any thing with a MSN app will soon no longer work with msn accounts if its not dead allready.
The PS3 is not a mobile device its a solid Mains powered (normaly) device and were theres mains there is normaly a broadband land line.
