Remote Play runs slow

4 replies 628 views Edited Mar 11, 2012

I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but I've been trying to play Crash Bandicoot 2 on my Vita through Remote Play, and it runs really slow. I'd estimate it to be about half-speed. Is there anyway I can make it run faster, or should I wait until Sony implements PSone Classics compatibility into the Vita?

Are you playing over Wifi/3G or just local?

Wifi is awfully slow. Even local isn't perfect.

Honestly I'd just wait.

I've played both over the internet and locally over private network.

Even on a wifi nearly as fast (my parent's house) as my own home network, there was a game breaking delay between pressing a button and seeing the action on the screen over an internet connection.

On a Private Network at home, there was still a slight delay, but not quite enough to make a single player game completely unplayable.

Either way, if I was to play a multiplayer Uncharted or Assassin's Creed match, I wouldn't be able to compete.

Serious upgrades are needed to make remote play work well with PS3 games.

I haven't had an issue with the private network setting just the wi-fi setting and my interwebs if fast!

The vita did just come out so I am sure they will fix it to run better..

From what I can tell, Remote Play is still running on PSP protocols.  Though I was never able to connect my PSP reliably over the internet to my PS3.

I also made some pretty drastic changes to my home network since I had a PSP, though.
