today i have reballed my first PS3 with complete success using one of these kits( http://www.ebay.com/itm/BGA-Kits-90X-90mm-XBOX-360-PS3-Reballing-Station-Stencils-Flux-Balls-/190822... ) that was given to me when i reballed a friends 360 as it had the templates for the ps3 in it..did it to a CECHA01 and it wasnt to bad and it has been sitting here running for a couple hours now and the fan is operating as it normally should as well.
so if you feel really confident you can do this yourself but patience is your friend here or it will not go good for you..

Doppel,i was going to take a video of the steps but the battery was dead and i was ready to do it and wasn't waiting on a battery charge...i did take a few snapshots though along the way but nothing special.
but to the Alignment issue, that is where you have to really take special consideration and patience but overall it truly wasn't nearly as bad as i thought it would be but i did have a little advantage since i have already did this to a 360 before..
you would be able to do it,i have seen some of your work you posted before and you have the patience obviously,as this is truly the key to having success at it..check everything 5,10,20 times whatever it takes because theres no going back once the heat is applied..lol
