Question about the old fat MGS4 80GB B/C bundle

2 replies 66 views Edited Sep 7, 2012

I sold my old fat 80GB ps3 recently.  The buyer is asking me for the cable to connect it to his TV set.  I guess I forgot to include it.

My question is - did this bundle come with a cable?  And if so, was it component cables, composite cables, or an HDMI cable?

I would think it came with the composite cable, as PlayStation 3s were well-known for not including the HDMI cable back in the day. Do you remember if you had to afford your own set of HDMI/component cables after or before the purchase of the PlayStation 3?

Every PS3 only comes with basic composite (red, white, yellow) cables. It was sort of ironic that a system touted for its 1080p visuals only came with a cable capable of only displaying SD video.

I think this was done because not everyone is gong to have an HDTV set, and those that do can get either a component cable or HDMI one..
