Question about pre-ordering

10 replies 160 views Edited Jun 15, 2013

So me mom agreed to put the $100 down on a ps4 =) We're gonna go find a place to pre-order but:

Do I need to pay on a weekly basis or something or can I just pay upfront

Do i need to put it on a debit card or credit card or something

Never pre-ordered anything before so I'm new to this :\

I know at gamestop you just put the $100 on, can be cash credit card or debit card an you dont have to pay weekly. Just pay it off before the console is released even if its the day before. I'm not sure how it works at Best Buy but I'm sure its not to different

At Best Buy you put $20 down and pay the rest when you pick it up.

Pretty sure if you pre-order in a store, it's a down payment. And then you pay the rest when you pick it up.

As for me, I Pre-ordered at Amazon. So i don't pay anything until it ships to me.

Toys R Us' policy used to be that you could only pay the pre-set amount up front.  So, if it says $20 down, that's all they would allow.  They didn't let you try it as a lay away before the product was in hand.

Ahh.... you must be thinking of Lay-away from back in the day.

No. You do not have to continue putting money into a pre-order. You CAN if you want to, whenever you can spare a few bucks.
