Re: Quest for the Last Big Secret / Mysteries of SotC

Apr 4, 2011

Hey all,

Just a thought, but since there's little activity on this thread you are welcome to leave comments on my channel page. It has daily activity - that is people are posting their comments/ideas there all the time... and I'm still uploading videos (although not as much these days - perhaps one or two a week). But I'll always answer any questions or comments you have ; )

So if you are still interested and want to participate, please feel free to do so.

Don´t worry,I think the end is very far away.

I mean,in a interview Fumito said ``These games are perfect´´ or something else, but some time after this he said ``These games don´t are good enough´´,in other words.I think that the remastered version will have more than thropies

Yeah it Will Have More, Like new textures and will be playable in HD 720p xP

I wonder if will come with PS Move suport , and subtitles in portuguese (Brazil) , like Killzone 3 and inFAMOUS 2...

Now that you said,I am thinking of the gender of Agro, well, you can be right, but I think that there is a chance that the creators wrote ``him´´ because we usually calls the male horse, not female.Same for dogs, pigs and etc

By the way,now that you said, maybe there was really other ``Wanderers´´ in the past.I think that Dormin said that the first colossus was...for example Phaedra for the first Wander, then Gaius to the second Wander and all of them were killed, smashed, hammed. You know

i guess this is the end of this thread. We had some good times, and i wish the last official post would be by the starter of this great thread(Ascadia-FM)but sadly, this isn't the case.

The last big secret was indeed the Garden.it sucks to say.The pikol dam was the greatest discovery made in this game.I hereby close this thread.Goodbye secret seekers, and enjoy the last post.

Um... You leave my thread alone, sir. We'll decide when it's finished.

Oh please, Zach. That wasn't a joke and you know it. Backpedal harder.

I'm using this account because I can't remember my login information for Ascadia-PSU. I'll recall it from time to time, but I never bother to write it down. Rest assured that it is me, however.

Here we are. Glad to see that you guys are still carrying the torch, so to speak. I would have posted much, much earlier, but I've been away with college/uni.

Is Pikol still here? I miss his eloquent phrasing of new discoveries.

And we finally have new emoticons. About time.

Yeah, I think you are right Duck, I just checked the game and it's the same, only much less clear.

You can see it's like the image I posted but harder to make out. At the end cut scene it was really sharp, so it looked like a well with depth (like you can actually see the walls of the well). So that's why I thought it was like a hole Wander & Dormin fell into... but oh well, another potential discovery trashed xD. Good observation though ; )

Anyway, here's a closeup of the old tree in the OPM intro... this is a close as I can get before it melts away. Strange it has leaves here but in the game it's dead (doesn't look that good though).

http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/4617/oldtreeopmdemo.jpg

And here's what the area at C4 looks like (near the broken bridge that leads to the Ico beach). In the game this area is a giant hole with the void showing through.

And lastly, here are the screen captures from the PC version as it's installing. It turns out it's just the NTSC version. They have just rigged the PCSX2 emulator to run straight from the PC (instead of through the emulator). It has the same functions as the emulator i.e. F1 to save, F3 to load etc. So really it's just a rip off of the emulator made to look like a real PC game.

http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8694/install2.jpg

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6026/install4.jpg

Hadn't seen this last image before? Controls are W,A,S,D to move Wander around - the arrow keys change weapons - E calls Agro and also to kick Agro when riding - F holds up sword - Spacebar to jump and mount Agro, right mouse button to grip onto things and you use the mouse to look around with the camera. There's other keys to zoom in etc. but it's terrible playing this way.

Also, when you click off the game to go to another program it crashes - so I can't even do any mods with it... not that I need to as it's just the NTSC version afterall ; )

Here's the last part of this thread in pdf format.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/cae86f3/n/LBS_501-539_360-366.pdf

To download this or the 5 other parts, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'DOWNLOAD NOW with FileFactory Basic'  > type in the words it shows > wait 30 seconds > then scroll down to the bottom of the page again then click on 'Download with FileFactory Basic'. You probably know this but I thought I'd post it in case you get confused. The file is 62.4 megs, much larger than the others... must be the amount of images I've posted ; )

And here is what the whole thread looks like in printed form - a whopping 1,777 A4 pages - or 888 sheets of A4 paper (as I printed it double sided). BTW a ream of paper is 500 sheets.

We have a binding machine at work which is handy if you want to actually read it like a book, but you could get a printing shop to do this for you for minimal cost.

One other thing, it goes to page 539 in the old forum layout then changes over to the new layout at page 360, and some of the later, larger images are cropped at the side (due to the right column they added).
