Ps3 problem

10 replies 282 views Edited Sep 24, 2011

My Ps3 turns on normal but it makes me have to do the whole getting set up screen when i already did it a long time ago and when i get to the Wifi part and hit the wireless and click any of the options it comes up with a error code 80130121. So i just skip it and go to the next screen and it says user 1 already exist so i press back and it goes to the wave screen then a blue screen comes up and says my info is corrupted press X to fix so i do then the whole system freezes even the power button only thing that doesn't freeze is the eject button for disk. i tried the thing to go to the recovery screen and clicked restore setting but that freezes the system up too i tried all the other options and it still freezes i have to plug it out completely to turn it off since the power button stops working too. My controllers don't connect to the system either i have to plug them in to make them connect, but when the system freezes they can't connect at all. Anyone know what is wrong or do i need a new ps?

Hi & Welcome to the Online Community.

Wow you sure have some issues there, I can see that so far over 180 people have looked at your Thread/question & no one has left a response, don't be disheartened by this, it just means that no one know's what to suggest to you, & I have to say neither do I, its hard to know were to start, especially if you can't get the system restore to work, it does indeed sound like you may need a new PS3, by the way, what model do you have, you don't say?

Good luck to you though!

I've never heard of this problem before.  But from a trouble shooting stand point, I would take my harddrive and put it in a different PS3 and

  1. See if it works like that.
  2. if not, reformat the harddrive when you put it in the other system.

If that doesn't work then you may need a new harddrive.  Hope I could help just a bit, I think it's worth a try!!  Lemme know if it works or not.

good idea - but one step further - get a new hard drive and see if that works --- if not, return the hard drive.

the reason i say this is because once you pop a HD into a dif ps3 it reformats it automaticly- and thinking then it would do the sme to the other ps3 when they put there orig hard drive back in - not positive on that maybe someone knows for sure

I'm not sure what relevance this has to this conversation, but I think that error code is wrong anyway.
