Power Outage

3 replies 97 views Edited Dec 24, 2012

The power at the house went out after a storm now my ps3 won't turn on. Is there anyway I can fix this on my own or If I have to get someone to repair it what would be the estimiate cost?

If you were to send the PlayStation 3 system into Sony's offices, I believe the repair cost would be about $150. There are other shops in existence who handle PlayStation 3 systems, though I'm not personally familiar with the reputation of any of them. One such location you can try is Video Game 911, who claims they are able to fix a system not lighting up on their site.

I recommend against Videogame 911. A friend of mine sent in his PS3 because of freezing, they claimed the console is unfixable, and it was returned to him stone dead. We suspect the unit's been cannibalized for parts.
