Possible future free PS+ games

27 replies 525 views Edited Sep 5, 2012

The EU blog has updated with other free games they are getting on the other side of the pond.

Other than Red Ded Redemption and Double Dragon Neon, they are also getting Scott Pilgram vs. the World and the puzzler Machinarium.

Just a heads-up on what possible future free PS+ games we might get...

I don't think we ever said that, I'm afraid. But we are working on getting better consistency, but it may be a long ways off. But getting EU games is not a 100% eventuality.

Well is there any chance we will get some good games on the psn+ list, because EU seems to be getting all the good games, and I only ask this because I really don't see the point of being a psn+ member in the US when compared to EU.

I think we will continue to get a few suspires similar to VF and Borderlands.  In the case of VF, it was a benefit to Sega to offer this for free for a week (or whatever it was) because of the available DLC.  If they could suck in some gamers (I say this in a good way), they could manage to make some extra and unexpected $.  To me this is the best type of game to put in the PS+ Game Collection.

Borderlands is an example of a game that can be offered because a sequel was in the works.  Get fans that don't have Borderlands happy and they could possibly jump onto the PS+ DLC (i.e. extra unexpected $ to the publisher) and maybe, just maybe, they will also go after Borderlands 2.

I actually like this type of offering - since I don't have Borderlands.  Smiley Very Happy

I think we will continue to get Borderlands type games because the shelf life has pretty much expired, and if everyone can make a few $, so much the better.  This give some eventual hope for RDR, which  I don't actually own, so I would be happy with that as well.  Same for Motorstorm - any versions.

Thanks for your input Morgan. I'm sure as time goes on there will be more consistancy between the EU & US programs. It would help if in the near future you could start posting when games in the IGL will expire, so we can have an idea how frequently individual games will cycle...
